Sometimes I bust out and do things so permanent. Like tattoos and marriage. ~ Drew Barrymore
::giggle::
Yeah, I sometimes say to myself, what was I thinking???
I have two tattoos, one is a gecko on my right ankle and the other is on my right shoulder and it’s a cowboy hat and boots.
Okay … The gecko is cute. It’s small and green with red eyes.
The cowboy boots and hat? I am like, what the heck was that about?
That tattoo was during a phase in my life I would like to pretend didn’t exist. HA!
It all has to do with country music — which up until that time and since was not music I listened to.
However, in 1992, I was a different person and wanted to be a little bit country. This lasted about 6 months and I believe must have been some sort of midlife crisis. For me to permanently mark my body reminding me of that short space of time, well, it must have been profound. HA!
Piercings? I have had regular pierced ears since I was six. When I turned 30, I decided to get second holes in each ear. I wanted a third in one ear for the longest time, but decided that it’s just not me anymore.
I have never even considered getting piercings anywhere else. Nope, not me.
Do I suffer from ‘tattoo regret?’ I am not fond of regretting anything because I like to think experiences are simply life lessons. Have I learned from my tattoo experience? Heck ya! No more for me!
Tomorrow’s prompt … First Celebrity Crush. Oh my.
Peace Out, Biz
