Some readers have known me quite some time. Others not as long.  While some of my longest online associates may know a lot about me, I’m guessing they will find new tidbits among this list.  Have fun reading!

1)  I was born in Hawaii, the youngest of five children from my Mother, oldest of two from my Dad, and the only one from both my Mom and Dad.  Talk about struggling with identity … am I the oldest, youngest, middle, and/or only child?!?

2)  My claim to TV fame was being on Checkers and Pogo when I was 6 years old (1968).  This television show was native to Hawaii. Here’s a flashback on You Tube. (Part 1 & Part 2)

3)  Entrepreneurship is in my blood and has been since birth.  I never played with dolls; instead, I was writing real estate contracts for my Mom.  I also collected rocks, colored them, and sold them to passersby.

4)  During my lifetime, I have lived in 6 different states; Hawaii, Florida, Pennsylvania, California, Georgia, and South Carolina.

5)  Because of living in six different states, I went to 17 different schools.

6)  I love being domestic (is that even politically correct these days.) In other words, I love cooking, sewing, and crafting — crochet being my favorite.

7)  I once met Graham Nash on a flight from CA to HI … on that same flight was a group of Chippendales.  Another time, I was about 15 feet away from Rod Stewart. And it wasn’t at a concert.

8)  I LOVE QUOTES. Quotes from movies, songs, from famous and not so famous people.

9)  I go by “Biz” online, and yes, it is a pseudonym.  One of the main reasons is my real name is made up. The story is too complicated, so usually I don’t explain, thus Biz is my persona.  Before you ask, my real name is Jimrie.  My father’s name was JIMmy Ray, my mother’s is Laura, but he called her LauRIE.  My sister (who was almost 15 when I was born) named me by combining the JIM and the RIE into Jimrie.

10)  I have been married and divorced twice and have a child from the second marriage. She just turned 17 and is my joy.  I have been a single mom since late 2009; my 94-year-old Mom lives with us and I am her primary caregiver.

11)  Dancing is my favorite form of exercise.  Does that count?  Over the years I have been in three dance competitions; hula, disco, and country line dancing.

12)  Water is my preferred peaceful place.  Whether it’s a beach, lake, pond, pool, hot tub, or even a shower, my body/mind/spirit goes to a happy place when water is involved.

13)  I lost count on how many musical events I have attended over the years; however, the number is well over 100.  To name just a few:  Elton John, Billy Joel, The Beach Boys, Heart, America, Billy Idol, INXS, Kansas, Boston, Bangles, Alanis Morrissett, Barry Manilow, and the list goes on and on.

14)  I love all animals, but most of all pigs.  If I lived on a farm, I would be a pig lady.  If I could, I would have thousands of potbellied pigs running around.  As of this moment, I would be embarrassed to say how many pig items I have around my house.  Speaking of animals, we are foster failures, we fostered a dog we couldn’t give up when it was time for her to meet her forever family; so we adopted her!

15)  I am an animated feature nut.  However, I much prefer animals or alien beings over those based on humans.  My favorite Disney animated feature is Lady and the Tramp.

16)  My bucket list includes seeing Jimmy Buffet play at Fenway, camping out near a castle in Scotland, and living in a Tiny House close to a body of water.

17)  I have been in front of thousands of people more than once giving some sort of speech, so big crowds don’t scare me.  However, ask me to say something in front of two or three people and I clam up.

18)  My dream job?  A motivational speaker traveling around the world meeting people and empowering them to reach their dreams.  My focus is melding mind/body/spirit into balance.

19)  If there was a game show devoted to 70s & 80s TV intro themes, I think I would win.  I watch a lot of old TV.

20)  I lived in Pittsburgh, PA the year both the Steelers won the Super Bowl and the Pirates won the World Series.

Well, there you have it!  I am a little bit of everything silly and fun!  Hope you had fun reading!
